EXPOSURE YOUTH CAMP

GROUP LEADER INFORMATION PACKET

We are so blessed to have you and your group at Exposure Youth Camp 2025!  To make this the best Exposure yet please review the following information prior to arriving on December 27.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Parking

  • If driving a bus to Exposure Youth Camp you can park at your assigned hotel’s lot or in the North Hall Lot of the Von Braun Center for no charge. The parking deck across the street from VBC/Hampton Inn is available but not included in the registration price.

  • If driving a car and staying in the Embassy Suites, please park in the Embassy Suites Parking Garage located under the hotel.

  • If you are staying in the Hampton Inn downtown, please limit vehicles that you will park in the parking garage. We will provide a parking pass per vehicle that will cost $45 for the duration of Exposure Youth Camp.

  • EYC will reimburse the cost of parking for buses 1x per day from December 27-30.

Check-In

  • Check In will take place from 3:00 - 5:00 pm on December 27 in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center.

  • Only 1-2 adult group members are allowed to come through the EYC registration. Your group must stay in the vehicle or wait in the eating area in the South Hall. Do not have your group wait in the registration line. Do not hang out while waiting for registration in the Embassy Suites lobby unless your group is staying in the Embassy Suites.

  • There will be an Exposure Youth Camp Staff Member on site to help with traffic flow and to answer any questions you may have.

  • Adult Meeting 5PM South Hall Ballroom Room 1

Unloading & Loading

  • Upon arrival we ask that your group not unload their luggage until your registration is complete and hotel keys are in hand.

  • Once registration is complete, your adult leader has returned to your group with hotel keys, then you may unload at the front of your hotel you have been assigned.

Worship & Assembly

  • Worship and morning assembly will be in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center.

  • Worship is to be reverent. We ask to avoid any applause or clapping with songs during the assembly. There are other activities that occur in the same room as worship. Many of these activities are appropriate for applause and cheering is encouraged. We kindly ask to refrain from such expressions during worship time.

Rules

  • Welcome! We’re glad that you’re at Exposure!

  • Exposure is a Christian camp! Therefore, Christian conduct is expected from everyone who attends!

  • Youth Ministers / Leaders are asked to take care of any problems that may arise during our time at Exposure. If a problem continues the Exposure staff will deal with it. This is a time of spiritual focus and fellowship. We do not anticipate any behavior problems. However, if inappropriate behavior occurs, the individual(s) will be dealt with accordingly.

  • Exposure is a non-controversial, spiritually uplifting youth camp. Any controversial activity that you may participate in at your home congregation, we ask for unity’s sake, to avoid during Exposure! (e.g. hand clapping during singing, etc.) Thank You!

  • In addition to the hotel security, members of the Exposure staff will monitor the hallways each night (as well as all other activities). Please respect their requests as they are looking out for your best interest!

  • Team leaders are in charge during team time.

  • All participants must attend all sessions (this includes team time… everyone must attend all team sessions).  For security reasons, no one will be allowed to return to his/her room unless they are accompanied by an adult chaperone.

  • Be cautious in the ways that we conduct ourselves around young people. Be very aware of sexual harassment policies. Watch for any sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior between campers. There is no PDA, offenders will be sent home!

  • Please be quiet as you pass to or from your room and please be courteous to other hotel guests.

  • Observe all hotel rules.

  • Youth ministers (or youth leaders) you are ultimately responsible for your group at all times! We offer no Security during free time. So please make sure that your chaperones are aware of the location of your kids at all times.

  • During free time, if you leave the hotel, you must go with your youth minister.

  • Young people have been assigned to a team and a room for this camp. Encourage them to stay on the team that they are assigned to and in the room that they were assigned to.

  • Complimentary breakfast will be provided each morning at your hotel location. Make sure your group members wear their lanyard to breakfast in order to be served. No pajamas are to be worn outside the rooms.

  • No catch bars are to be used to prop open the doors. Keep doors closed!

  • The Board of Directors or those asked to lead prayers, etc., will be the only ones who will approach microphones, etc. (In order to save time.)

  • Any damage to rooms will be paid for by the individuals in that room.

  • Off-limit areas explained:

  • No guys in girls’ rooms, etc. w/o chaperone.

  • No one allowed in swimming area/gym (unless there is a baptism).

  • Curfew for entire camp is whatever nightly curfew is. No one may leave the hotel after curfew. Adults or kids.

  • If you have a room that has a view to the outside, please close your blinds while changing clothes, etc. nobody needs to see that, no matter how high up your room may be.

  • Ordering food is allowed, and they may have it delivered to their rooms. Deliveries must be made before curfew!

  • Please stick to the schedule of events and do not be late.

  • Make sure that young people in your group clean up after themselves (food areas).

  • No PDA (chaperones and kids). Violators will be sent home.

  • All phones are blocked. No local or long-distance calls can be made.

  • Do not knock-on random doors!

  • Do not go to the hotel front desk for any reason! All hotel changes must go through the Exposure Board.

  • Some hotels will have other hotel guests- please be courteous to them at all times- especially late at night.

  • Wi-fi does cost at the Embassy Suites. If you need Wi-fi please contact the hotel.

  • Lanyards must be visible at all times!

  • No inappropriate digital communications (texts, airdrops, social media posts, etc.) violators will be subject to being sent home from camp.

  • Please use the App, X, Instagram, Facebook, etc and let's promote and show the world how incredible EYC is!

  • Remember the EYC phone number for Info, Security, Hotel Location, etc. is 334-549-7009. Text or Call. Also go to the info booth for all questions located in the South hall next to the Expo Shop & stairs going up to the Embassy.
